Sabry Mansour completed his BA at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University in 1964. He also served as a professor of drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts in San Fernando, Madrid in 1978. From 1983 to 1987, he was a member of the board for Egypt's Syndicate of Fine Artists, and went on to pursue a teaching career as head of painting department and dean at the Faculty of Fine Arts Helwan.
Inspired by ancient Egypt, Coptic culture, and the organic figures and architectural patterns of Islamic design, Mansour's artistic vision weaves together elements from Egyptian mythology and rural landscapes within an imaginary nocturnal environment. His distinctive near-monotone palette predominantly consists of consistent tones of blues.He has held various solo and group exhibitions since the 1970s, beginning in Alexandria and later expanding to Cairo including participating in the Cairo Salon and the Annual Exhibition of Fine Arts in Egypt from 1969 to 1988.
Throughout his career, Mansour has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the art world. He won the first prize at the Kuwait Biennale in 1985. Additionally, he has received domestic recognition, including the painting award at the 1982 edition of the Annual Exhibition of Fine Arts. His works feature in private and public collections worldwide, including esteemed institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Qatar, Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, The Opera House Museum, Egypt.
